The goal of UHRN programmes is to contribute to a society where drug users are healthy, have their human rights fully respected, and are in control of their livelihoods. To reach this goal, strong UHRN’s human rights advocacy campaigns are needed that can champion vital HIV, TB, STIs, and Hep B & C prevention, treatment, care and support services for people who use drugs to make Universal Access a reality in Uganda.

The overarching UHRN’s program objectives are:

  • – Improve the quality of and the access to HIV, TB, STIs, and Hep B & C prevention, treatment, care and support services for people who use drugs in Uganda.
  • Improve the human rights of people who use drugs in Uganda
  • To raise awareness and increase knowledge on SRHRs to full realization of drug user’s sexual reproductive health and reproductive rights in Uganda.
  • To increase young people’s knowledge on drug use, HIV, Hepatitis B & C, STIs and TB prevention and enable them to make informed choices about drug use and their sexual behaviour through skills development.
