With the recent enactment of the Sexual Offences Act, 2021 by the Parliament of Uganda, We (Uganda Harm Reduction Network) stand to speak and condemn such laws on behalf of the community of people who use drugs in diversity and would like express the shared and profound concern at punitive laws like this which push criminalized and marginalized people away from health and social services that are vital to preventing transmission of HIV, and supporting people to live full and productive lives.
