Katende Dan is a human rights advocate and has been part of the movement for over 8 years. He attains various experience in the field of; research, HIV, mental health and psychosocial support and child protection. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social work and Social Administration and currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Makerere University, He has undergone several trainings in: child protection; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Trauma (CBTT); Human Rights; harm reduction; Sexuality; Policy Engagement and Advocacy; Financial Management; Resource Mobilization; Monitoring Evaluation and Learning. His work has mainly been focused on research projects including: conducting scorecard, epidemiology studies, situation analysis, mid- term and end of project evaluation studies. Katende has a track record in managing projects in areas of HIV and coordination of advocacy programs for sustaining the grass root network of people who use and inject drugs in Uganda.
